Day 01 : Arrive in Kathmandu: you will be transferred to your hotel by one of our representatives.

Day 02 : Visit Swoyambhunath and Patan:

Swoyambhunath is one of the oldest stupas in Kathmandu Valley. It is situated on one of the highest hills in the valley. It watches over the Valley from the top of a hillock on its western side just three kilometers west of the city center. The stupa is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Nepal and its establishment is linked to the creation of the Kathmandu Valley out of a primordial lake. Swoyambhu is also known as Samhengu and is recognized as a World Heritage Site. It is also one of the oldest and most glorious Buddhist shrines in the world which is said to be two thousand years old. The four sides of the stupa are painted with the eyes of Lord Buddha.
Patan - the second largest town in the valley is situated to the south of Kathmandu. Patan's great building boom took place under the Mallas in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. Numerous temples of widely diverse styles, as well as many Buddhist monasteries, are scattered around the fascinating town. Patan is famous for its crafts and metal works which are wonderful souvenirs.
Day 03 : Flight Kathmandu to Lhasa: transfers to the airport for the flight to Lhasa. This one hour Trans Himalayan Flight will give you an opportunity to have an aerial view of the Mt. Everest and other Himalayan Peaks. Upon your Arrival, our Tibetan representative will greet you at the airport and drive you to your hotel.

Day 04 : Lhasa: Visit Potala palace, Jokhang temple & Barkhor Square.

Potala Palace - The Potala Palace is the essence of Tibetan ancient architecture and the treasure room of art in Tibet. In 1961, it was designated by the China Central Government as the foremost cultural heritage under state protection. In 1994, it was declared to be a World Heritage Site. Originally, it was built for the marriage of the King Songtsen Gampo and the Princess Wencheng in the Tang Dynasty. Today visitors can find the sculpture of these two important figures in history in the palace. Whenever a religious festival comes, a large crowd of Buddhists will gather here to do Buddhist services.
Jokhang Temple - One of the best known attractions in Tibet is the Jokhang Temple. Lying in the center of Lhasa City, the temple is a large architectural complex composed of halls built in different dynasties. The best time suggested to visit there is in July, August and September.
Barkhor Square - If you are familiar with the Jokhang Temple in Lhasa, you may also know about Barkhor Square that surrounds the temple. In other words, the Barkhor Square centers on the Jokhang Temple, with the Tibet Hospital to its east, the Helinkuo East Road to the west, the Yanhe East Road to the south and the Xingfu East Road to the north. Built in the 7th Century, the street retains its original image and we can see the traditional dwellings of Tibetan people.
Day 05 : Lhasa: visit Drepung monastery, Sera monastery.

Drepung Monastery was built in 1416 and is the largest monastery of the Gelug Sect. It covers and area of 250,000 square meters. At its height, Drepung was the world's largest monastery, having over 10,000 monks in residence. In 1530, when the Second Dalai Lama made Ganden Palace his main residence, Drepung monastery became not only the primary residence of the Dalai Lama but also the political base for the Gelug monastic sect. As a result, the tombs of the Second to Fourth Dalai Lamas are at Drepung Monastery.
Every year in early August, Tibetans celebrate their major festival - Shoton, the Yogurt Festival. The most important event of this festival - Giant Buddha Show held in Drepung Monastery.
Sera Monastery - Sera Monastery is a popular site for visitors to Lhasa. The monastery impresses visitors with its magnificent buildings which are arranged in rows. The main architecture in it includes the Coqen Hall, Ngaba Zhacang, Je Zhacang, Me Zhacang and Kamcuns. Covering an area of over 1,196 square yards, the Coqen Hall is the most imposing building in the monastery and also the center of activities.
Day 06 : Lhasa to Gyantse: you begin your overland adventure with a full day drive to Gyantse. Along the way you cross the Kamba la (4794m) and the Karo-la pass (5010m), both grant spectacular views. After crossing Kamba la, you come to Yamdrok tso, also known as the Turquoise Lake.

Day 07 : Gyantse to Shigatse: this will be a busy day. In the morning, we will visit Gyantse stupa and monastery followed by a two hours drive to Shigatse. Here you will see the giant Buddha in the famous Tashilumpo monastery.

Day 08 : Shigatse to Lhatse: the journey today brings you over two high passes offering magnificent views of the Himalayas.

Day 09 : Lhatse to Rombuk: We will begin our journey driving through the Tsho La (4500m) and ends with the spectacular view of Mt. Everest from Rombuk monastery. We will stroll around the monastery in the evening.

Day 10 : Rombuk to Lao Tingri: We will get up early and start our hike to the base-camp (5200m). We should be back by early afternoon to drive to Lao Tingri. Lao Tingri is a small Tibetan town that offers the spectacular view of the Himalaya even from the toilet.

Day 11 : Lao Tingri to Zhang Mu then to Kathmandu: make sure to have some space left on your memory card for the panoramic view of the Himalayan range as you cross the Lalung la pass (5050m). Upon your arrival at the border, you will be met by our Nepal's representative and drive you back to Kathmandu.

Day 12 : Transfer to the airport and departure.
