The Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) to Muktinath trek is a medium Elevation trek, situated north of Pokhara. This is the most popular trekking region, attracting over 70% of all trekkers in Nepal. The route ascends to 4130m Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) and then descends towards Ghorepani. One of the highlights is Poon Hill, where we will observe beautiful panoramic views of the Annapurna Himal. From Poon Hill, the trek continues to Muktinath crossing a variety of terrain with fantastic views. It will take almost three weeks to complete including your arrival and departure. During the trek you will be able to enjoy: dramatic mountain scenery; alpine deserts; rice terraces, the Tibetan plateau; turbulent rivers with deep gorges; crystal clear lakes; hot springs; waterfalls and a wide variety of vegetation, including the world's biggest rhododendron forest. In addition, you will be able to observe different cultures and ways of life of people who live in this region, as well as different birds and animals. Another highlight will be our visit to the well-known Muktinath temple used by Hindus and Buddhists.
