Tengboche Trek – 14 Days

Tengboche-trek-14-Days

The Tengboche trek is a short classic trek of the Everest region and ideal for those who are unable to trek to Everest due to limited time. This trek offers breathtaking views of Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt Amadablam and many other spectacular peaks. Treks to this region offer breathtaking views of some of the world’s highest mountains and other beautiful smaller peaks, vast beautiful landscapes, Buddhist monasteries and interesting Sherpa villages where trekkers have opportunity to explore the lifestyle of Himalayan people, their religion, customs and traditions. This region lies within the Sagarmatha National Park (1148 sq. km) which was established in 1976 and the park was added to the list of World Heritage Sites in 1979. Spectacular flora and fauna inhabit the park including pine and birch trees and colorful rhododendron flowers which flourish in spring. It is not uncommon to spot mountain goats, musk deer and less frequently rare species of red panda and snow leopard.

You don’t need any previous mountaineering training or technical experience for this trek as the terrain is not very difficult. However, some vigorous hiking experience and good physical condition is very useful.
